SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario in Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006:
  • Several schemas on the computer that is running BizTalk Server 2006 have the same target namespace but different root elements.
  • These schemas have multiple input messages.
  • You want to map these schemas to an output message that is using another schema.
In this scenario, you may find that only the schema of the first input message is available in the Transform Configuration wizard.

CAUSE

The lookup mechanism in a mapper is based primarily on the targetNamespace property of the schema. Therefore, different schemas are treated as the same schema when several input-message schemas are in the same namespace. This is true even though these schemas have different root elements.
