SYMPTOMS You log on to Windows Vista as a standard user and then you try to perform one of the following actions:
CAUSE
This issue may occur if a user who has administrator rights and permissions turns off the User Account Control feature. If you log on as a user who has standard rights and permissions and if the User Account Control feature has been turned off, a task runs by using standard user permissions, even if you try to run the task by using the Run as administrator option. RESOLUTION
To resolve this issue, follow these steps to turn on the User Account Control feature. Note Because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.
