SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. You run a custom application on a Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition-based computer. In this custom application, you do one of the following:
  • You tap the pen one time in a text box or in a form. Then, you tap the pen one time in a different text box or in a different form.
  • You click the mouse one time in a text box or in a form. Then, you click the mouse one time in a different text box or in a different form.
In this scenario, these single-tap events or single-click events are incorrectly reported to the application as double-tap events or as double-click events. In some cases, the single-tap events or the single-click events are reported to the application as both a single-tap event and a double-tap event or as both a single-click event and a double-click event.

For example, assume that you tap the pen in a text box on one form, and then you tap the pen in a text box on a second form. These two individual single-tap events are reported to the application as a double-tap event on the second form.
