SYMPTOMS

When you save a file in Microsoft Expression Web on a Windows Vista-based computer that has file name extensions hidden, the file is always saved with an .htm file name extension.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
  1. In Windows Explorer, click Organize, and then click Folder and Search Options.
  2. In the Folder Options dialog box, click the View tab, click to clear the Hide extensions for known file types check box, and then click OK.
