Excel 2007 closes unexpectedly after you paste a Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet object from a 2007 Office program and then undo the action

SYMPTOMS

You create a Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet object in a 2007 Microsoft Office program such as Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007 or Microsoft Office Word 2007. If you paste this object to a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 worksheet and then undo the action, Excel 2007 closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you receive the following error message:
Microsoft Office Excel has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
When you view the data in the error report, the report contains an error signature that resembles the following error signature:
Application nameApplication versionModule nameModule versionOffset

CAUSE

This issue occurs if the object is pasted as a Microsoft Office Drawing object.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, follow these steps:
1.Copy the Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet object in the 2007 Office program in which you created the object, such as Word 2007 or PowerPoint 2007.
2.Start Excel 2007.
3. On the Home tab, click the down arrow on the Paste button in the Clipboard group. Then, click Paste Special.
4.In the As box, click Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object. Or, click one of the picture formats.
5.Click OK to close the Paste Special dialog box.
