FIX: Error message when the select function is called in Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 or in Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2003 R2: "Bad address"

You may unexpectedly receive an error message when the select function is called in Microsoft Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 or in Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2003 R2. This problem occurs if the select function receives null file descriptor parameters. The error message resembles the following:

Windows Services for UNIX 3.5 or Subsystem for UNIX-based Applications in Windows Server 2003 R2 cannot validate the select function if the function receives null file descriptor values.
