On This PageSYMPTOMS Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computers and Microsoft Windows XP-based computers that are set to the West Australia time zone do not change to daylight saving time on December 3, 2006. Note The display name of the West Australia time zone in the Date and Time Properties dialog box is (GMT+08:00) Perth. CAUSEThis problem occurs because the State of West Australia has recently introduced daylight saving time on a trial basis for the next three years. The trial will start at 2:00 A.M. on December 3, 2006. The West Australia time zone in Windows Server 2003 and in Windows XP is not configured to change to daylight saving time on December 3, 2006. RESOLUTIONWindows Server 2003 service pack informationTo resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows Server 2003.
