After you do this, you receive an error message that resembles the following in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup dialog box: The following applications should be closed before continuing the install: SQL Server Agent (MSSQLSERVER) (Process Id:3956) If you use SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, SQL Server Agent may not be installed. In that case, the dialog shows "SQL Server" instead of "SQL Server Agent". CAUSEThis issue occurs because of an enhanced file detection feature in Windows Vista and in Windows Server 2008. The enhanced file detection feature is known as Restart Manager. Restart Manager is used together with Microsoft Windows Installer version 4.0. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this issue, you can safely click Ignore in the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup dialog box to continue the operation. STATUS
