When you create a new Exchange virtual server resource in Cluster Manager, the user interface (UI) appears to stop responding periodically. This occurs when you are running Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 in a clustered environment.

This behavior occurs because the ClusterResourceControl function makes several consecutive requests for buffer allocation when the virtual server resource is created.

The ClusterResourceControl function makes a request for buffer allocation when the virtual server resource is created. When a large buffer size is required, the ClusterResourceControl function makes several consecutive requests for buffer allocation. In this case, the UI appears to stop responding. Although the UI appears to stop responding, the process concludes successfully. Also, the Exchange virtual server resource is created. Therefore, no action is required to modify this behavior.
