SYMPTOMS

When you run the First Run Wizard in Windows Media Center on a Windows Vista-based computer, you may receive the following error message:
Download Incomplete. Guide listings could not be retrieved. Internet connection failure.
Therefore, you cannot download the Media Center Program Guide.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you have not created or configured an Internet connection on the computer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, finish running the First Run Wizard, and then configure an Internet connection.
