SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
  • You install an add-in that uses code to automatically move or copy a worksheet from a Microsoft Office Excel 2007 workbook to another Excel 2007 workbook.
  • You open an Excel 2007 workbook that has macros disabled.
  • You run the add-in.
  • In the add-in dialog box, you select to move a worksheet to another Excel 2007 workbook that has macros enabled.
In this scenario, when you click Continue in the security dialog box, the Save As dialog box may not appear. Additionally, Excel may open a new workbook that contains the selected worksheet.

If you click No in the security dialog box, the Save As dialog box appears. Additionally, you are prompted to save the workbook. When you close the Save As dialog box, the original workbook is closed. Then, the add-in dialog box appears.

CAUSE

This problem occurs if you install an add-in that contains code to automatically perform a move operation or a copy operation in Excel 2007. In this case, the copy operation cannot be performed. Additionally, the code that the add-in contains is reset.
