To report a Web site that you suspect is a phishing Web site, follow these steps:

Windows Internet Explorer 8
  1. Start Windows Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Safety menu, point to SmartScreen Filter, and then click Report Unsafe Website.
  3. Select one or both of the following check boxes as appropriate:
    • I think this is a phishing website
    • I think this website contains malicious software
  4. Select the language that is used on the Web site.
  5. Type the characters that you see in the picture in the Characters box.
  6. Click Submit.

Windows Internet Explorer 7
  1. Start Windows Internet Explorer.
  2. On the Tools menu, point to Phishing Filter, and then click Report This Website.
  3. Select the language that is used on the Web site.
  4. Select the I think this is a phishing website check box.
  5. Click Submit.
To report a Web site that is flagged as suspicious and that you believe is a phishing site, click report this website in the Windows Internet Explorer warning message.
