SYMPTOMS

When you start a Windows Vista-based computer, the arrangement of Windows Vista Sidebar gadgets changes. Or, some gadgets do not appear.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, drag each gadget to the position that you prefer. If gadgets do not appear, restart the computer.

MORE INFORMATION

This issue does not affect the functionality of the gadgets.

Configuration information about the gadgets is stored in the Settings.ini file in the following Windows Vista folder:

C:\Users\User Name\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Sidebar

When this issue occurs, the configuration information in the Settings.ini file is overwritten.
