SYMPTOMS

On a portable Windows Vista-based computer, you occasionally receive an error message that resembles the following:
STOP 0x0000007E(c0000005, 0, a16bb8d4, a16bb5d0)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
The computer is running a program or a service that periodically wakes the computer from sleep to perform tasks and then puts the computer to sleep again.
The tasks are network-related or require network connectivity.
The computer uses a wireless connection for network connectivity.
