SYMPTOMS

When you start Microsoft Word 2002 from Microsoft Works Suite 2006 on a Windows Vista-based computer, you receive the following error message:
Error 1706. No valid source could be found.

CAUSE

This issue occurs because Word 2002 requests the source to install the Century (TrueType) font (Century.ttf).

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, log on to a Windows Vista-based computer as the system administrator to install the files that Word 2002 requires.
