FIX: Error message when you run DML statements against a table that is published for merge replication in SQL Server 2005: "Could not find stored procedure"
Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.
Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft SQL Server 2005, you delete a join filter from a merge replication publication. Then, you run DML statements against a table that is published for merge replication. In this scenario, you may receive an error message that resembles the following:
Msg 2812, Level 16, State 62, Procedure
MSmerge_<ins, upd, or del>_<GUID>, Line 163 Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.MSmerge_expand_sp_<GUID>'.
Additionally, the upload phase of the merge replication synchronization may fail, and you may receive the same error message.
This problem occurs if the following conditions are true:
You delete a join filter that is nested under another join filter.
For example, the T1 table is joined to the T2 table, and the T2 table is joined to the T3 table. In this example, this problem occurs if you delete the join filter between the T2 table and the T3 table.
The merge replication publication is configured to use precomputed partitions. For example, the definition of the merge replication publication contains the following parameter.
