CAUSEThis behavior occurs if you use the "Backup and Restore Center" item to back up files and folders on CD media that already contains data or on DVD media that already contains data. To help provide a reliable backup, the "Backup and Restore Center" item does not support using media to which data has previously been written. WORKAROUNDTo work around this behavior, insert a new blank media in the CD drive or in the DVD drive when you use the "Backup and Restore Center" item to back up files and folders in Windows Vista.
