Note The USER PROFILE placeholder represents the user profile that you are logged in to in Windows Vista when you run Media Center Extender setup. During setup, the Media Center Extender software scans the directories of the Media Center computer and adds all audio, videos, and pictures to the appropriate Music, TV + Movies, and Pictures + Videos sections of the Media Center Extender based on the file type. If you add files to those directories in the future, the files will automatically be reflected in the Media Center Extender library. However, if you stop monitoring those directories, that content will not be removed automatically.To remove content from previously monitored directories, you must delete the existing Media Center connection data and rerun Media Center Extender setup. How to clear Extender connection data from your Xbox 360 and Media Center computer
ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONAfter setup, you can add folders by using library setup on the Extender. For a Media Center Extender to access content in the media folders that are located on a Media Center computer or on a network share, the Extender must have the appropriate permissions to access the content. In some cases, you must manually set the permissions for the Media Center Extender account. By default, the Extender account is named "MCX1." If more than one Extender is connected, this name may change to MCX2, MCX3, and so on. For the Extender to use this media, the Extender account must have the following permissions for the content:
