On This PageSYMPTOMSAfter you install Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 on a computer that uses Microsoft Windows Media Encoder 9 Series, the encoder cannot use the Microsoft Windows Media Audio 9 Voice codec. CAUSEThe encoder shares some DLLs with the Microsoft Windows Media Format 11 Software Development Kit (SDK) Runtime that is installed when you install Windows Media Player 11. An updated component provides more data than the Windows Media Audio 9 Voice codec expects.
