STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. MORE INFORMATIONIn the version of Analysis Services that is included in SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition, the maximum number of attributes that you can specify in the Association Rules algorithm is 5,000. You can define a slice on the cube to restrict the number of attributes that you can specify in the Association Rules algorithm. However, Analysis Services does not consider the slice when it determines the total number of attributes for the Association Rules algorithm. After you apply this hotfix, Analysis Services uses the slice to restrict the number of attributes when it determines the total number of attributes for the Association Rules algorithm.
