Description of the Office 2003 post-Service Pack 2 hotfix package for the Office 2003 Proofing Tools: February 21, 2007

List of issues fixed

This hotfix package fixes the following issue that was not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

• In a Microsoft Office 2003 program, you try to find a synonym for the word "contraddistingue" in Italian language text. When you do this, the program closes unexpectedly. Additionally, you may receive the following error message:
  Microsoft Office program_name has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
  This problem may also occur when you try to find a synonym for any form of the verb "contraddistinguere."

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
