The "Windows Error Reporting" dialog box appears when you try to install the 2007 Office system or any 2007 Office system components

SYMPTOMS

When you try to install the 2007 Microsoft Office system or any 2007 Office system components, the installation dialog box disappears, and then the Windows Error Reporting dialog box appears.

This issue occurs immediately after you click Install Now or Upgrade.

Additionally, the 2007 Office system setup log contains the following error message:

Error: ORegistryKey.GetSubKeyNames failure: Cannot get all sub key names for registry "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" HResult: 0x80070103

Note To locate the setup log file, click Start, click Run, type %temp%, and then click OK. This file is in the SetupExe(Number).log format.

CAUSE

This issue may occur because Altiris Software Virtualization Solution 2.0 is installed and is activated.

WORKAROUND

To work around this issue, deactivate all layers before you install the 2007 Office system or any 2007 Office system components.
