STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. MORE INFORMATIONSome words may not be in the English-language dictionary in the 2007 Office programs. When a word is not in the dictionary, the spelling checker tries to suggest words that have spellings that resemble the unrecognized word. Occasionally, Microsoft updates the standard dictionaries. The words "Friendster," "Klum," "Nazr," "Obama," and "Racicot" are currently not in the English-language dictionary. When a word is the last name of a public figure, Microsoft also adds the first name of the public figure. Additionally, the word "Barack" will be added to the dictionary. A hotfix will be released that will automatically add these words to the English-language dictionary. These words may also be added by using the workaround steps in this article. APPLIES TO
