When you use Microsoft Windows Media Player 11 to play a Windows Media Video (WMV) file in Windows Vista, a vertical line may appear in the middle of the playback window. The line appears as a band or as a bar. The band or the bar is discolored with blue or with green. You may also see other artifacts or corruption in the playback window.

This problem may occur if the computer uses one of the following integrated video chipset solutions for video output:

| • | Intel 910G |
| • | Intel 915G |
This problem occurs because of an issue with the Intel Windows XP Display Driver Model (XDDM) video drivers that are included with Windows Vista for the following integrated graphics chipsets:
| • | Intel 82865G Graphics Controller (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM) |
| • | Intel 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - XDDM) |
Both of these drivers are dated August 1, 2006. Additionally, both driver versions are 6.14.10.4656.
