The Insert Object dialog box does not appear when you click the Object command on the Insert menu in Works 8 on a Windows Vista-based computer

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario. On a Windows Vista-based computer, you click Object on the Insert menu to insert a Package object into a Microsoft Works 8 document. Then, you click Cancel in the Create Package dialog box to cancel the insertion process. However, when you click Object on the Insert menu to insert an object into the Works 8 document again, the Insert Object dialog box does not appear

CAUSE

This issue occurs because of a problem in Windows Vista.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, restart Works 8.
