However, if you open an entity form to add a related activity, the Service Activity option is available. This option should not be available because the security role that is assigned to the user account does not have the permission for this option. For example, if you open the Opportunity form to add an activity, the Service Activity option is available. This problem also occurs if the user has a security role that does not have the Append To permission for the Campaign object. When you add an activity on an entity form, the Campaign Response activity option appears as a valid activity that can be created. RESOLUTION
This problem was corrected in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Update Rollup 3.
