On This PageSYMPTOMSWhen a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0-based application calls the HttpListenerRequest.GetClientCertificate method, the HttpListenerRequest.GetClientCertificate method may not retrieve the client certificate.
This problem occurs if you use the HttpListener class to programmatically control the client certificate request. For example, you can configure the HttpListener class by using the Httpcfg.exe tool. This problem may occur after you run the Httpcfg.exe tool together with the /f option set to zero by using the following command: httpcfg /f 0 RESOLUTIONHotfix informationA supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 service pack that contains this hotfix.To resolve this problem immediately, contact Microsoft Customer Support Services to obtain the hotfix.
