To work around this problem,
use one of the following methods. Method 1: Format the drives before you install Windows Vista
Method 2: Remove all drives except the primary drive before you install Windows VistaRemove all drives from the computer except the primary hard disk drive. Then, install Windows Vista. After Windows Vista is installed successfully, shut down the computer, and then add the additional hard disk drives.STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
