Symptoms

After you search for a picture in Windows Vista, you receive the following error message when you try to print the picture from the Search window:

Windows can't find this picture. You might have specified the wrong location, or you have lost access to a network location. Check the location, and then try again.

Resolution

Service pack information

Hotfix information

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Workaround

To work around this problem, double-click the picture, and then print the picture from the viewer application that opens the picture.

Status

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a problem in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section. This problem was first corrected in Windows Vista Service Pack 1.
