Xbox 360 customers who use a credit card can store information for multiple cards. You can select the card that you want to use when you purchase Microsoft Points for downloadable content and when you manage subscription renewals. You can also use different credit cards for your membership and for Microsoft Points bundle purchases.
Note When a specific payment option is associated with an active Gold subscription, that payment instrument cannot be removed until the associated Gold subscription has been canceled or until the payment option has been replaced by an alternative payment option.

How to remove an unused payment option online

  1. Visit the following Web site and sign in by using your Windows Live ID:
    http://marketplace.xbox.com/MyAccount/MyAccount.aspx (http://marketplace.xbox.com/MyAccount/MyAccount.aspx)
  2. Select Manage Payment Options.
  3. Select Remove next to the payment option that you want to remove from your account.
  4. Follow the instructions to complete the process.
The payment option will no longer be visible on your Xbox 360 console or in your account on Xbox.com. However, for historical reference, the payment option will remain visible at the Microsoft Billing Web site (http://billing.microsoft.com (http://billing.microsoft.com) ) with a status of "Removed."
Note You cannot remove a credit card that is currently associated with any active Microsoft subscription that is on your Microsoft Billing account. If you try to do this, you will receive the following error message:
This payment option cannot be removed at this time. Please contact Xbox LIVE Customer Support.
When you try to remove a payment option, the payment option may continue to be associated with one of your subscriptions. You must first apply a new payment option to your Xbox LIVE subscription, or downgrade your Xbox LIVE subscription to Silver before you can remove your payment option.
