SYMPTOMS

You are running Windows Vista on a mobile PC. When you open the Windows Mobility Center item in Control Panel, you notice that the Wireless Network tile is not displayed.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs if a wireless network adapter driver that is installed on the mobile PC is not supported in Windows Vista. For example, if the mobile PC has two wireless network adapters, this behavior occurs if the driver of one of the wireless network adapters is not supported in Windows Vista.

Windows Mobility Center does not display the Wireless Network tile if a wireless network adapter driver that is enabled on the mobile PC is not supported in Windows Vista. By design, Windows Vista works in this manner.
