You try to export a contact item to a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer from Windows Contacts in Windows Vista by using the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. However, you cannot open the contact item by using Address Book in Windows XP.
For example, this problem occurs in the following scenario. You right-click a contact item from Windows Contacts in Windows Vista, and then you send it to a Bluetooth enabled device. Then, you receive the file on a Bluetooth enabled computer that is running Windows XP. In this scenario, the contact item does not open in Address Book. CAUSE
This problem occurs because the contact item is sent by using an XML format that is not supported by Address Book in Windows XP.
WORKAROUND
To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.
Method 1: Export the contact item to vCard formatExport the contact item to vCard format (.vcf), and then send it by using the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. To do this, follow these steps:
