Microsoft distributes Microsoft SQL Server 2005 fixes as one downloadable file. Because the fixes are cumulative, each new release contains all the hotfixes and all the security fixes that were included with the previous SQL Server 2005 fix release.

You have Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services installed on a server. If many objects are stored on the server, the server may start slowly. For example, the server may start slowly if it has thousands of stored partitions.
This issue occurs because SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services generates a large version map file (Master.mvp) if the server has many stored objects. When the server starts and when you perform process operations, SQL Server 2005 Analysis Services loads this file by using the Document Object Model (DOM). The DOM takes a long time to read the large Master.mvp file.
To resolve this problem, obtain cumulative update package 2 for SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 2 (build 3175).
