Error message when you try to start Internet Explorer 7 in Windows Vista: "You must be an administrator to open Internet Explorer on this desktop"

In Windows Vista, you receive the following error message when you try to start Windows Internet Explorer 7:You receive this error message even after you log on by using an account that is a member of the Administrators group.

Note This problem does not occur in earlier versions of Windows. These versions include Microsoft Windows XP and Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

This problem occurs if you try to start Internet Explorer 7 on a desktop that is not the default desktop. A program may switch the user to a desktop that is not the default desktop. This problem occurs because some security enhancements in Windows Vista prevent the user from starting Internet Explorer on a desktop that is not the default desktop.
