FIX: When you compile a C++ application in Visual Studio 2005, the compile time is much longer than the time to compile the application in Visual C++ 6.0
When you compile a C++ application in Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, the compile time is much longer than the time to compile the application in Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. This behavior occurs when the source file of the Visual C++ application contains lots of GOTO statements or labels.
A supported hotfix is now available from Microsoft. However, it is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply it only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix may receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next Visual Studio 2005 service pack that contains this hotfix.
