INTRODUCTIONAfter you install Windows Live OneCare, you can use it free during a 90-day trial period. After the 90-day trial period, you must activate Windows Live OneCare or purchase a one-year subscription. The subscription lets you install and activate Windows Live OneCare on up to three computers. If you purchase a copy of Windows Live OneCare, you do not have to purchase a subscription. A one-year subscription is included in the software purchase price. You must have a Windows Live ID to activate Windows Live OneCare. MORE INFORMATIONImportant| • | When you activate Windows Live OneCare, you must use the same Windows Live ID that was used to install Windows Live OneCare. | | • | You must be logged on to your computer as an administrator to activate Windows Live OneCare. To activate Windows Live OneCare, follow these steps:
| 1. | Open Windows Live OneCare, and then click Activate. | | 2. | In the Computer Name box, type your computer name, and then click Next.
| | 3. | If you have a Windows Live ID, click Yes, and then click Next. If do not have a Windows Live ID, click No, and then click Next to create a Windows Live ID. | | 4. | In the Windows Live OneCare Activation wizard, type your Windows Live ID and password, and then click Sign in. | | 5. | Click Continue online, click one of the following options, and then follow the prompts:
| • | Subscribe Now Click this option if you downloaded and installed the 90-day trial version. | | • | Activate a token Click this option if you purchased Windows Live OneCare at a store. When you are prompted for the prepaid PIN, use the 25-character product key. The product key is listed on a sticker on the back of the disc holder inside the Windows Live OneCare box.

| | 6. | After you set up your account in the Windows Live OneCare Activation wizard, click Next, and then click Finish. | Note Windows Live OneCare 1.5 does not support 64-bit versions of Microsoft Windows XP and Windows Vista.
