Consider the following scenario. You have a computer on which one of the following language versions of Windows Vista is installed:

Additionally, a 2007 Microsoft Office program is installed on the computer. In this scenario, you may be unable able to type Chinese characters for the user name and for the computer name on the Welcome page of the Out Of Box Experience (OOBE) Wizard.
To work around this problem, change the user account name or the computer name after you have completed all the steps in the OOBE Wizard.
To change the computer name, follow these steps:
- Click Start

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type the password. Or, click Continue. - Click the Computer Name tab, and then click Change.
- Under Computer name, delete the old computer name, type a new computer name, and then click OK. If the computer is part of a domain, you will be prompted to provide the name and the password of an account that has permission to rename the computer in the domain.
To rename a user account, follow these steps:
- Click Start
