The body of a read receipt message displays the read date in an incorrect format for a mailbox that is hosted in Exchange 2007

Article ID:936716
Last Review:November 20, 2007
Revision:1.2

SYMPTOMS

Consider the following scenario:
A user has a mailbox that is hosted in Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
On the client computer, the locale setting is not English (United States). For example, the locale setting is English (Australia). This locale has a date format of DD/MM/YYYY instead of MM/DD/YYYY.
The user sends an e-mail message that requires a read receipt.
When the user receives the read receipt message from the recipient, the body of the read receipt message displays the read date in the MM/DD/YYYY format instead of in the DD/MM/YYYY format. This behavior may confuse e-mail senders.
