The sort order of the selected view is incorrect when you insert a hyperlink into a document in a document library in SharePoint Server 2007

Consider the following scenario. In Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, you create a view to sort specific columns. You insert a hyperlink into a field control. Then, you insert this hyperlink into a document in a document library.

In this scenario, when you configure the sort order in the view that you created, the sort order of the selected view is not preserved by the asset picker. Therefore, the sort order is incorrect.

Note The same problem occurs for image libraries when you insert images into a field control by using the asset picker.

To work around this problem, manually change the sort order by clicking the column title.

Microsoft has confirmed that this is a bug in the Microsoft products that are listed in the "Applies to" section.
