This hotfix package fixes the following issue:

937039 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937039/ ) Some documents are not returned in the search results when you search for content that contains particular Chinese Traditional characters in SharePoint Server 2007

This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

A crawl occurs on a server that is running SharePoint Server 2007. Additionally, incremental crawls may occur periodically during the crawl.

In this scenario, the crawl may intermittently stop responding (hang). Additionally, the following status message may be displayed on the Search Settings page:
Computing Ranking
A search of Lotus Notes documents is performed in SharePoint Server 2007. Users who are denied access to a document by the database system access control list (SACL) in Lotus Notes may have access to the document in the search results in SharePoint Server 2007.
When you search for content on a server that is running SharePoint Server 2007, the search may unexpectedly time out.
You run an advanced search with multiple property restrictions, and then you browse from the Search Results page back to the Advanced Search page by using the Back button of the browser. When you do this, only the first property restriction criterion is displayed.
As the number of documents in a document library increases on a server that is running SharePoint Server 2007, the lag time between the initiation of a crawl and the actual beginning of the crawl increases.

After you apply this hotfix, you must run the "SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration" wizard. To do this, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard.

Known issues

If you run SharePoint Server 2007 in a multilingual environment in which Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 is installed, you will receive the following error message when you try to create a crawl rule:
