Update rollups

Exchange Server 2007 release to manufacturing (RTM) and Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 1 (SP1) are serviced by a series of cumulative update rollup packages. The series of update rollup packages for Exchange Server 2007 SP1 are independent of the corresponding series for Exchange Server 2007 RTM.

Update rollups for Exchange Server 2007 RTM, also known as Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 0, will continue to be released as long as Exchange 2007 is supported as per the support timeline that is described on the Microsoft Support Lifecycle Supported Service Pack Web site.

For more information, visit the following Microsoft Support Lifecycle Supported Service Pack Web site:
http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupspa (http://support.microsoft.com/gp/lifesupsps)
The latest update rollup in the series includes the fixes that were released in previous update rollups for the same series. For example:
If you install Update Rollup 3 for Exchange 2007 RTM, it includes the fixes that were released in Update Rollup 1 for Exchange 2007 RTM and Update Rollup 2 for Exchange 2007 RTM.
If you install Update Rollup 2 for Exchange 2007 SP1, it includes the fixes that were released in Update Rollup 1 for Exchange 2007 SP1.
Therefore, you must install only the latest update rollup in the series that is applicable to your installation.
