You can create and manage your Games for Windows LIVE account on the Xbox.com Web site. Xbox.com has always been the place to find out about new games and hardware, learn about your fellow gamers, and check out upcoming events.

If you already have a gamercard, sign in to My Xbox to check out the new features. If you have not signed up for My Xbox yet, now is the perfect time. A Silver membership is free. Even if you are not a member of Xbox LIVE or of Games for Windows LIVE, you can reserve a gamertag now.

In the My Xbox area of Xbox.com, you can see your friends list — including who's online and what they're playing. You can also see whether you have any pending friend requests.

You can also use the Xbox.com forums. You can start a friendly conversation about a certain game, or you can challenge someone to a showdown. You can also click the names of other players to see their gamercard and to send a friend request.
