Updates cannot be distributed to managed hosts, or you cannot import updates directly from partners when you import updates from partner catalogs in System Center Essentials 2007
Article ID: 937467 - View products that this article applies to.
In Microsoft System Center Essentials 2007, you import updates from partner catalogs. When you do this, you experience the following symptoms.
Symptom 1The update source files are not correctly downloaded to the server that is running System Center Essentials 2007 during the import process. Therefore, these updates cannot be distributed to the managed hosts.
Symptom 2When you click Import updates from partner catalogs to start the Update Catalog Import wizard, the Choose Catalog to Import page provides only Http:// and Https:// as choices for the import URL.
However, some partners may store their downloads on FTP sites instead of on Web sites. In this case, you cannot import updates directly from these partners.
