Server 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2). Additionally, you configure the Microsoft Office Outlook client in Microsoft
Exchange Server mode. When you use Outlook to open an e-mail message that contains a PDF attachment from an external mail
system, you receive the
following error message: There was an error opening
this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired. RESOLUTIONHotfix informationAfter you apply this hotfix, incoming messages that have PDF attachments are processed correctly.A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
