This article describes the Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 issues that are fixed in the Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 hotfix package that is dated May 25, 2007.

937498 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937498/) Servers that run Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 together with Office Live services can now track Windows Live ID user accounts by using the Passport User ID feature

938569 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/938569/) When the database status for a Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 site collection has been set to offline, you may be unable to find items that are saved in the site collection
This hotfix package fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:
•
When you try to delete a Computed type of field in a document library or in a list, the field is not removed. Instead, you receive the following error message:
One or more field types are not installed properly. Go to the list settings page to delete these fields.
Additionally, if you use the list settings page to delete the field, you experience the same symptoms.
•
Consider the following scenario. You have a standard root-site of a site collection that contains the following three standard groups:
•
RootSiteName Members
•
RootSiteName Owners
•
RootSiteName Visitors
You create a template that is based on the root-site. Then, you create a subsite that is based on the template. Later, if you delete the subsite, the three standard groups together with all members are also deleted.
•
You have a document library that contains more than 1,000 documents that have unique permissions. When the document library is crawled, you receive an error message from the Site Data Web Service that resembles the following error message:

You have Microsoft PowerPoint presentations that contain multiple slides in a document library. When the presentations are crawled, only the text from the first slide of the presentation is indexed. The text from the additional slides in the presentations is not indexed.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
If the hotfix is available for download, there is a "Hotfix download available" section at the top of this Knowledge Base article. If this section does not appear, contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain the hotfix.

This hotfix may not contain all the files that you must have to fully update a product to the latest build. This hotfix contains only the files that you must have to correct the issues that are listed in this article.
