The Conversation view is broken when the public folder is replicated between Exchange 2007 servers
SYMPTOMSWhen you replicate a public folder between Microsoft
Exchange Server 2007 servers, the Conversation view in
Microsoft Office Outlook is broken by the
replication. For example, users of Server A post a message several times in a public folder. The message is posted by using different subjects. If users arrange messages by conversation in Outlook, those posts are grouped in the same conversation. When Server B has the replica of this public folder, the users of Server B find that the posts that have different subjects are not grouped in the same conversation. CAUSEThis issue occurs because Exchange 2007 overwrites
the PR_CONVERSATION_TOPIC property by using
the PR_NORMALIZED_SUBJECT property when Exchange 2007 replicates public folder items. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, install Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007.
