On This PageSYMPTOMSOn a Windows CE 4.2-based device, you try to run the DMInstaller_CE4.2_ARM.exe file that is included in Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 Device Management Feature Pack update or in SMS 2003 R2. However, you receive the following error message: DMInstaller_ce4.2_arm is not a valid Windows CE application CAUSEThis problem occurs because the DMInstaller_CE4.2_ARM.exe file cannot run in Windows CE 4.2. RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, run the DmInstaller_WinCE4.2_arm.exe file that is included in this hotfix. To install the Windows CE 4.2 device client, follow these steps:
