Microsoft has released a service pack for Microsoft Office Project 2003 that contains fixes for Project 2003.

Microsoft Office Project 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) provides the latest updates to Project 2003. Project 2003 SP3 contains security improvements, stability improvements, and performance improvements. Some fixes that are included with Project 2003 SP3 were previously released in Project 2003 Service Pack 2 (SP2) or in separate updates.

This service pack fixes the following issues that were not previously documented in a Microsoft Knowledge Base article:

Project 2003 closes unexpectedly when you open a master project

When you open a master project in which sub projects have been expanded, Project 2003 closes unexpectedly.
You receive an "Invalid parameters" error message when you try to sort or filter a project list

When you try to sort or filter items in a project list on the Korean version of Windows Vista, you receive an "Invalid parameters" error message.
The French version of Project 2003 closes unexpectedly when you try to connect to a project server

When you try to connect to a Project server, Project 2003 closes unexpectedly. This occurs when the following conditions are true:
- You are running the French version of Project 2003.
- You have the French Multilingual User Interface (MUI) installed.
Project 2003 stops responding when you open a project if the summary resource assignments are loaded

When you try to open a project in Project Professional 2003, Project stop responding. This problem occurs if the Load summary resource assignments check box is selected in the Project Server Accounts dialog box when you start Project.
