You install Microsoft Office Project 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3). However, when you try to open a Microsoft Office Project 2007 file that is protected with a password in Project 2003 SP3, you receive one of the following error messages:
| • | Error message 1 An unexpected problem occurred
while opening the file.
The file may be damaged. Try using a backup copy.

| • | Error message 2 The password is incorrect.
Retype the password, and then try again. |

This problem occurs because Project 2003 SP3 does not support the opening of Project 2007 files that are protected with a password. Project 2003 SP3 supports the opening of Project 2007 files only if they are not protected with a password.
