On a Windows Vista-based computer, when you run the NetProj.exe utility to connect to a network projector, you receive the following error message:
The computer cannot successfully connect to the network projector.
The network projector is unable to display your desktop at the current screen resolution. Please lower the screen resolution and try to connect again.
This problem occurs if the computer's screen resolution is higher than the screen resolution that the network projector supports.

Hotfix informationA hotfix is available to resolve this problem. After you apply this hotfix, the NetProj.exe file automatically changes the computer's current screen resolution to a screen resolution that the network projector supports before the computer is connected to the network projector.
A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft. However, this hotfix is intended to correct only the problem that is described in this article. Apply this hotfix only to systems that are experiencing this specific problem. This hotfix might receive additional testing. Therefore, if you are not severely affected by this problem, we recommend that you wait for the next software update that contains this hotfix.
